Token.io Appoints Gil Danziger as Chief Technology Officer & Managing Director (Geschäftsführer) of Token GmbH

LONDON, 9 June 2026 – Token.io, the leading Pay by Bank infrastructure provider in the UK and Europe, today announced the appointment of Gil Danziger as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Managing Director (Geschäftsführer) of Token GmbH.  Gil brings more than 25 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership to Token.io, where he will lead the company’s engineering organisation and drive the continued evolution and industry-leading performance of its Pay by Bank infrastructure.

Gil joins Token.io from Mondu where he served as Co-Founder and CTO. At Mondu, Gil built the engineering, product, data and cybersecurity functions from the ground up, delivering a modular payments and lending platform, serving merchants and financial institutions across the EEA, UK and the US. Gil brings direct experience operating under e-money regulatory frameworks in the EU, having built and maintained compliance infrastructure including ISO 27001 and PCI DSS certifications.

Prior to Mondu, Gil held CTPO and senior technology leadership roles at AppLift, Glispa and Vehiculum, where he scaled engineering organisations across multiple countries and delivered high-throughput, real-time platforms. Earlier in his career he held senior roles at HP and Micro Focus in enterprise software. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
