Peter Ehmke appointed as Managing Director of Token GmbH

Token.io is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Ehmke as Token GmbH's Managing Director.

Peter brings over 35 years of experience in financial services, and 20 years of experience in payments, to this role.

Prior to joining Token GmbH, Peter was a Managing Director and Partner at Accenture. Before Accenture, Peter acted as Partner, CFO and Head of North America for Edgar, Dunn & Company, and served as Mastercard's Managing Director for Germany, and subsequently Mastercard's Head of Strategy for Europe. Peter was also CEO and CFO of Santander Direkt Bank AG.

Peter brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this key role leading our operations in Germany. His appointment reflects Token.io’s ambition to further expand our operations and grow our position in this important market.

Peter will lead Token.io’s operations in Berlin, where earlier this year Token.io also hired its Chief Technology Officer, Artashes Torosyan.

Token.io is authorised as an Account Information Service Provider (“AISP”) and as a Payment Initiation Service Provider (“PISP“) by BaFin in Germany, where it continues to recruit and rapidly grow. Token.io recently announced a partnership with leading Berlin-based payment service provider Deustche Payment, which sees Token.io’s technology underpin Deutsche Payment’s open banking solution: PayThisWay.
